Oldest championship team rings made.

Before championship rings became popular, many different types of awards were given to players on sports championship teams. You can actually find a lot of these in our Ring Library even though they were not “rings”.

Here are some of the earliest championship rings awarded to players.

1883, the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association organized a “World Championship” Hockey tournament won by the McGill Hockey Club. The winner got these rings thought to be the first sport championship rings made.

Oldest baseball rings, 1922, MLB, NY Giants World Series championship rings.

Oldest Football ring, 1933, NFL, Chicago Bears, Champions
